Last week was a good week for me with OBA - 7 sales of Stacked Income and, even better, three Adspace leases. That's $95 in total which is great considering all I really did was surf the TE's. 5 of the sales came from them. The other 2 came from a brief burst of Google Ads I bought. I rarely use Google Ads for advertising because it's just too expensive but I thought it might boost things a little and I guess it did.
However those results have given me the motivation that I needed with this business. No more messing around with it. If I can get those results with really not making that much effort think of what it could be like if I really applied myself to it. More than that it proves that OBA actually works!
So I've dropped the two remaining programs I was involved with and it's OBA all the way for me from now on. 100% focused!

Social Networking
The problem with social networking is it's pretty addicitive when you get into it - hence the reason I haven't posted for so long. Instead of doing something useful I've been messing round on Yuwie, myLot and Facebook. I hate MySpace - just can't get into it at all. Anyway last week I got a grip on myself and actually did some WORK! Results coming up in next post ...
So as far as social networking goes I'm going to back off from it - or at least approach it in a different way and concentrate more on the "networking" aspect of it! Less of the social side from now on I'm afraid. Still it was fun while it lasted.

Social Networking Sites
Well for the last 24 hours I've spent almost all my time on MySpace, Yuwie and Facebook. I read somewhere that some people do have success with promoting business opportunities on social networking sites so I thought I'd give it a try.
Actually I've been a member of MySpace for about a year and never got round to creating a page. Same thing with Facebook only not been a member for quite as long with that one. Yuwie I just joined yesterday. A friend who is already a member sent me an invitation. To be honest social networking sites have never appealed to me that much but I'm really quite enjoying it - probably too much because I've allowed myself to get sidetracked with it all! Really it shouldn't have taken me a whole day to do what I needed to do.
So I've joined various relevant groups in MySpace and Yuwie - home business, online business, entrepreuners, etc and posted some links and put my advertising on my pages. We'll see if it produces results. I really haven't quite got the hang of Facebook yet so may need to revisit that one and see what I can do.
The bottom line though is no more sales so far. The target of another two sales wasn't met. Ah well - onwards and upwards!

What To Do Now
Ok so far I've joined Traffic Hoopla and most of the TE's on the first level anyway and am surfing like crazy BUT it occurs to me that if that's full of OBA members already then really I'm just preaching to the converted by just using the same TE's as everyone else. Well not exactly of course because others will use them too but I need to find things that other OBA members aren't using or at least not using yet.
Yesterday I did pretty well in getting this blog up and running and posting in the OBC - I'm such a lazy blogger though that the challenge now will be in keeping this going. The aim is to try to post at least once a day. Hmm we'll see! Didn't do much surfing on the TE's yesterday so the plan for today is to spend at least an hour on them and then will get my thinking cap on and see what else I can do. Joined Blog Soldiers yesterday so will spend a bit more time on that one today although I hate TE's for blogs only - I get too involved reading other people's stuff and don't make much progress. There's some great blogs around.
Anyway target for today - at least two book sales!

Hello, Hello, I'm Back Again ..........
Following on from my previous post for the past few weeks I've been getting emails from my sponsor in the OBA basically telling me to get my act together and get motivated again or get removed from their database. Obviously he said it in a very nice way but that's basically what he meant. As I joined in November, sold 2 copies of Stop Being A Victim and then did nothing else with it I was fairly out of touch with what was happening with the programme so it was a pleasant surprise when I logged back in (finally!) and saw the changes that had been made -and there was a LOT!
The back office looked completely different, there are now more digital products to sell and there is really just a different "feel" about the whole thing. So anyway I went through the process of organising my profile and setting up my sites again (which didn't cost me any more money of course) and then wandered into the forum (OBC) to re-introduce myself. It's a busier place now than I remember it being before and there seems to be a lot of enthusiasm about the place which is pretty infectious.
That night I put some of my URL's on a few Traffic Exchanges that I use regularly so had some credits built up in them already. Then less than an hour after I had set them up BAM!! Two sales!! I've never been so excited about $10 before. I love the feeling you get when you look in your Inbox and it says those magic words ...."You have received funds"! Anyway that was last Wednesday and sadly no more sales since but I'm still motivated and plugging away at it.
Of course I COULD have had another $20 in the interim if I had just done the AdSpace leasing thing one day earlier than I actually did but as usual I didn't get round to it until it was too late. I'm optimistic though - I have one customer that leased AdSpace so there will be plenty more and in future they'll be paying me the $20 instead of my sponsor!
All I've done as far as promotion goes so far is the Traffic Exchanges so I really need to get my act together and think up additional free marketing strategies. This blog I guess is one aspect of that but I don't want it to turn into just another boring sales pitch so it will be "warts and all". If I'm not making money I'll post about it so at least readers know they're hearing the truth. If I AM making money - which I really, really need to do - I'll be screaming it from the rooftops!

In The Beginning .........
I've been trying to make money online for about two years now with varying degrees of success but nothing spectacular. I certainly have never reaped the rewards promised by some programmes but there again, after a while, I guess I never really expected to anyway!
The first IM programme I joined was Plug In Profit. Now, although I didn't get one single sign up to the PIP's programme I don't regret joining it because of the learning curve it put me on. The "30 Days To Success" training programme which you work through when you sign up is brilliant. I really learned a lot from it. The other good thing about it all was it got me membership to The Warrior Forum which - although a little pompous and overblown sometimes - is a really useful resource if you're serious about succeeding in IM.
So the PIP's programme which, when I joined, was made up of five individual programmes brought together wasn't an overall success for me but I did have some success with two of the programmes within it - SFI and Empowerism. In fact I'm still an active member of both although when I say "active" at the moment I'm fairly dormant really but I do take turns and do advertising spurts for them from time to time. I have healthy-ish downlines in both and I do have a regular (although very small) income from both. Generally I'm happy to continue with them so I'll be posting about them later on here.
Anyway after some time floundering with PIP's and various other programmes that got my attention along the way (or sidetracked me from what I should have been focusing on!) and that I wasted a fair bit of money on in the process in November 2006, whilst surfing one of the Traffic Exchanges, an advert for Stop Being A Victim caught my eye. At that time they were absolutely everywhere on the Traffic Exchanges so there was no missing them. So I paid my $5 for the Ebook and it was a pretty good read - depressing because I realised I really HAD been a victim and fallen for all the crap that's around about making money online - but at least now I knew the error of my ways.
Buying the Ebook also got me membership to the Online Business Alliance and presented me with the opportunity to resell the Ebook and really to start my own business up. To cut a long story short the lessons I should have learned from the Stop Being A Victim book didn't stay with me for long and I went off to do my own thing again and waste some more money on stupid stuff that was never going to deliver what it promised. That's pretty much the way it continued until last week when I decided to give common sense another try and actually commit my efforts to something positive that I had faith in.
That's where this post ends and the next one begins ........
